Caribbean

The sporting culture of the Caribbean is different from that of many other countries. Compared to any other nation, Caribbeans prefer a unique set of sports that are imported from the United Kingdom or home-grown — namely cricket and football. In the Caribbean, football means British football or what is sometimes called soccer around the world.

Other popular team sports include cricket, rugby, football (soccer) and softball.
Currently, cricket is the biggest sport in the Caribbean. Popular individual sports include auto racing, boxing, cycling, golf, hiking, horse racing, skateboarding, swimming, tennis, triathlon, track and field, water sports, and wrestling. As an area with a generally warm climate, the Caribbean countries have enjoyed greater success at the Summer Olympics or Central American and Caribbean Games than at the Winter Olympics.

Jamaica

The north coast, with its popular resort areas of Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Ocho Rios and Port Antonio, features fine coral beaches and broad plains, where sugar cane, coconuts and citrus fruits are grown.

Barbados

The island abounds with exotic locations and exciting history, while the extensive variety of culture, sports and activities make Barbados the gem of the Caribbean.

Antigua

With warm trade winds and surrounded by hundreds of white beaches, this little island paradise offers a wide array of things to do, both for sports and relaxation.
