Leicester Tigers (officially Leicester Football Club) is an English rugby union club that plays in the Aviva Premiership.
Leicester are the most successful English club since the introduction of league rugby in 1987, a record 9 times English champions - 3 more than either Bath or Wasps, the last of which was in 2010. Leicester have also appeared in a record seven successive Premiership finals since 2005.
Leicester Tigers
The Tigers have never finished a league season below 6th position, and are one of only four teams (along with Gloucester, Bath and Wasps) never to have been relegated from the top division. Leicester are also the only English side to have qualified to play in every Heineken Cup in which English teams have participated, and are also the most successful English side in Europe; back-to-back champions in 2001 and 2002 and losing finalists in 1997, 2007 and 2009.

Shopping
In 2008 Leicester was positioned thirteenth in the retail shopping league of England (CACI Retail Footprint 2008).
There are two main shopping centres in Leicester – the Haymarket Shopping Centre and Highcross Leicester. The Haymarket Shopping Centre was opened on the site in 1974, and was the first to be built in the City, with parking for up to 500 cars on several levels, two levels of shopping with bus station, and was also the site of the former Haymarket Theatre. Highcross Leicester opened in 2008 after work to redevelop "The Shires Centre" was completed at a cost of £350 million (creating 120 stores, 15 restaurants, a cinema, 110,000 m2 of shopping space).
Smaller shopping centres include St Martin's Square. The Leicester Lanes area has numerous designer and specialist shops. Leicester Market is the largest outdoor covered market in Europe selling a wide variety of goods. The Golden Mile is the name given to a stretch of Belgrave Road renowned for its authentic Indian restaurants, sari shops, and jewellers, The Diwali celebrations in Leicester are focused on this area and are the largest outside India
Leicester has a number of department stores including Fenwick, House of Fraser, John Lewis, and Debenhams.
Sports
Professional & semi professional sports teams include: Leicester Tigers (rugby union), Leicester City (football), Leicester Coritanian A.C. (Athletics), and the Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
Leicester Phoenix are a rugby league club based in the centre of the city. The club was founded in 1986. After playing in different British Amateur Rugby League Association leagues (namely the Midlands and South West Amateur Rugby League and the East Midlands Amateur Rugby League) the Phoenix were one of the 10 founder members of the Rugby League Conference (then the Southern Conference League) in 1997 reaching the grand final in the inaugural season. Since then they have been one of the league's most consistent performers. Their 1st Grade Team currently compete in the Midlands Premier division of the Rugby League Conference.

This is the 11th largest City in the UK and famous for it's Cathedral and Lady Godiva Statue and the history surrounding it. From Arbury Hall Known as the 'Gothic Gem of the Midlands' which stands in the midst of rolling lawns and is surrounded by many acres of parkland.
Coombe Country Park situated 5 miles east of Coventry and is the largest recreational area owned by Coventry Council, with a chance to explore 400 acres of historic parkland and gardens. Another visitor attraction is the Coventry Transport Museum booming the road transport industry from the 1950s to 1970s.
Atherstone Heritage Centre and Museum provides a programme of themed exhibitions associated with the history of Atherstone and the surrounding area. The statue of Lady Godiva can be seen in the heart of the City.
